Line of Sight

Synopsis
Russell Avery was a promising journalist at the Newark Star-Ledger until a source burned him, a story collapsed, and his career went with it. Now he works as a private investigator, chasing insurance fraud and cheating spouses — until a cold case pulls him back into the city's darkest corners.
When the daughter of a murdered drug dealer hires him to find out who killed her father fifteen years ago, Russell thinks it's just another dead-end case. But as he digs deeper, he discovers the murder connects to a web of corruption that reaches from the streets of Newark to the highest levels of city government.
To find the truth, Russell will have to confront the people who destroyed his career — and the lies he told himself to survive.
